Spain introduced a 20% federal tax credit for international productions that are completely or partly made in the country. The incentive targets are cinema and film, TV series, animation, and gaming, (Commercial productions are not eligible), with a minimum €1.000.000, spend on mainland Spain and capped at €2.500.000, these incentives rise to 35% in the Navarra region in north Spain and pre-existing 40% in the Canary Islands, capped at €4.500.000. Rebates are made to the Spanish production service company working locally with the foreign production company.
